While the precise origin of this ore remains unknown, it is likely that it was named after the chemical compound known as "adamsite", which was first created by Roger Adams during World War I. Adamsite is a yellow irritant smoke, which contains a poisonous form of arsenic. Exposure to adamsite vapors would result in irritation to the eyes, lungs, and various bodily mucous membranes. Adomasite seems to be much less volatile than its Earth-based form, though its implementation in laser and explosive weaponry may prove more lethal than its predecessor.
