Remaining basically the same through more than four hundred million years, this is actually one of the oldest species on the planet. It spouts four barbed tentacles to inject a powerful toxin into its prey, then mounts the carcass to feed through its ventral mouth. Name MeaningIn Latin, "ituma" means "to go, advance, proceed, travel, move along, progress", and "atrox" is "bad, terrible, cruel, horrible, mean".
